Dr. Choi's journey began from a small town in the state of Washington. Upon graduation from University of Washington with Biology/Physiology degree, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He also completed additional training from Bellevue Hospital Center Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery Adult Dental Clinic and Gouverneur Health General/Cosmetic Dental Clinic in New York city.
Four months into his advance training in general practice residency, he became one of the youngest dentists to be certified as a Fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantologists during 5th Annual Columbia University/ICOI Dental Implant Symposium.
Upon completion of general practice residency, Dr. Choi was appointed to come back as an attending doctor to supervise the residents at Bellevue Hospital Center Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery Adult Dental Clinic once a week.
Throughout his training, he performed numerous implant placements, molar root canal treatments, surgical extractions, fixed and removable prosthetic treatments, periodontal surgeries, and cosmetic restorations.
Dr. Choi constantly tries to improve his skills by attending conferences and studying on his own with genuine passion and desire to learn all aspects of dentistry. He has full confidence in being able to work with all patients, taking into consideration one's unique dental history and social background.
Dr. Choi's primary focus is providing conservative treatments, strong ethics and high quality dentistry.
Throughout his career, he has shown commitment to treating underserved patients by leading and organizing multiple local outreaches.
Since the year of 2012, every spring break he participates in dental mission trips with nonprofit Christian organization named SOMA to treat numerous underprivileged patients in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Dr. Choi is currently residing in midtown Manhattan with his wife, who works as a motion graphic designer for Nickelodeon and their adorable French bulldog named Lilly
